                              THE ROLE OF YOUR COUNSELORS

We are in the “business” of watching the Lord bring about Personal Change. Individuals not wanting to make changes generally don't appear in this office.
The people who want to make changes and seek out counsel have already started the process of personal change.

It's exciting and gratifying for us as your Counselor to be part of your change process, even though it can be a painful and arduous journey for you, the Lord will be our “Master Counselor” and amaze us with His wisdom.
Confronting the pain is necessarily the first step in getting out of it. This is a hopeful, not a depressing process.

The person in counseling is his own agent for change.
The Counselor can only act as a facilitator. Those that benefit most from the process are the ones willing to allow God to show how change can take place. With all the spiritual, psychological knowledge and techniques that we bring to our professional work, the most important ones are a reliance on the Lord, a safe place, an open mind and a kind heart, We offer that to you.

The most significant tool that we have as a counselor is our faith in the Lord God to be the Wonderful Counselor. Who we belong to and look to rather than what we do, plays the greatest part in encouraging the process of your personal change.
The incredible changes we often witness as  Christian Counselors are inspiring. It is wonderful to witness how the Lord’s Word applied and faced with courage and faith can make all the difference in the world!

The pain that urged you into Counseling will help you to heal.
Allowing yourself to feel the feelings and experience the pain is the first step in the change process.

It is important that you feel confident in our ability to be sensitive to the leading of the Lord to help you understand your need, how it affects your family and how it still affects you. Feel free to question our various approaches.

Your sense of trust in the Lord through this process will likely bring you to a point of recovery and good spiritual and mental health. It’s good to walk this journey with you.
